Designed especially for dancers who want to gain flexibility and control. Stretch and Strength provides the extra cardio, muscle development, and cross-training students need to prevent injuries, continue on pointe, and excel in their dance classes.
Boys and Girls age 8+ Beginning ballet technique and terminology are further introduced. Students develop their understanding of ballet alignment, and develop strength and flexibility needed for ballet.
For teens and adults who want to take it slow and learn the basics. No experience needed. Wear traditional ballet attire, casual workout attire, or a combination of both; ballet shoes are strongly recommended.
This class focuses on the postures of yoga in a relaxed atmosphere. Strength, flexibility, balance, and breath control are promoted, working through the body’s full range of motion. No experience necessary.
Contemporary is a blend of classical, modern, and jazz styles with a solid ballet foundation. Students will learn expression, musicality, coordination, and movement dynamics through exercises and choreography. Ballet training through Level 4 is required.
This class focuses on creative expression, exercise, and interaction for students with special needs. Suitable for boys and girls, students learn to move and express themselves though a range of dance styles and activities. Acro dance style combines classical dance technique with precision acrobatic elements. Drawing from ballet, jazz, lyrical, and modern dance styles, Acro is defined by the smooth, graceful transitions between dance and acrobatic movements. This particularly demanding style is a physical, but rewarding challenge for participants.
A uniquely American dance form, Tap draws on influences from around the world. This rhythmic and energetic style uses special shoes with metal caps on the toes and heels which dancers use to created a percussive-rhythmic effect with each step.
Boys and Girls age 3-5 Students are introduced to a variety of dance styles, encouraging age-appropriate movement, coordination, and musicality. Basic dance skills are introduced through upbeat music, games, and an encouraging atmosphere. Class consists of jazz, ballet, and tap. This is a 45 minute class.
Boys and Girls ages 5-7 Beginning ballet technique and terminology are introduced. Students learn correct ballet placement, musicality and grace, as well as build strength and flexibility.
