Donovan Perez is a Visual Artist from Arizona. At a young age, his interests aligned with the
arts. Whether creating stop-motion videos or drawing in a notebook, Donovan always had a
creative mind. Donovan has an associate degree in Fine Arts. His studies during his academic
journey consisted of classes that challenged his artistic judgment and understanding, allowing
him to mature and learn valuable information. From this, Donovan was able to discover his own
identity as a visual artist.

As someone who loves to communicate visually, Donovan doesn’t limit himself to traditional
mediums. Along his journey, he developed a great interest in digital art and photography,
allowing him to expand his creative horizon and strengthen his artistic voice. Donovan has now
developed a unique identity through his work that has provided many opportunities.
In 2021 Donovan was hired by the City of Goodyear along with another local artist to develop a
children’s coloring book focusing on Goodyear history from the past 75 years. In 2023, Donovan
joined a Goodyear-based mural team where he was given the opportunity to paint a mural over
the course of 2 weeks at a restaurant called Farmer Boys. Donovan has also had the chance to
work as an event photographer for city functions and has been hired for musical performances.
In 2024, Donovan established his photography business.

Donovan believes that every artist has an individual identity unique to them. His mission as a
visual art/cartooning teacher is to challenge his students in a fun and educational way that
allows every student to discover their identity and voice as artists in a safe and creative
environment.
